MBBR technology is an excellent solution for achieving compact systems or upgrading existing plants with limitless capabilities for plants constructed on-site. This technology is reliable and robust; Saluber 04 produces a line of prefabricated modules and applies this system also in small installations. Our prefabricated modules start from 50 equivalent inhabitants, which are complete with lamellar sedimentation packs; modules of oxidation and nitrification which arrive up to 1000 equivalent inhabitants combined together to achieve the greatest potential. With the MBBR system it is possible to carry out the steps of oxidation, nitrification or denitrification. Saluber 04 modules can also be sized for combined denitrification where everything takes place in a single space alternating between aerobic phases and anoxic phases.
The MBBR process combines the high efficiency of the activated sludge process with the flexibility of the biofilm system; MBBR technology allows the reduction of the space required for the biological process to a third of that of the activated sludge system.
